Ball and Vase
A classic revisited
Show a small vase. Take the top cover from a vase, remove a ball, and replace the cover. You then place the ball into your pocket and wave your hands mysteriously over the vase. When you remove the cover, the ball has magically travelled from your pocket to the vase.
Replace the cover, wave your hands again, and when the cover is removed, the ball is gone. Place your empty hand into your pocket where the ball is found and returned to the vase.
Many magicians credit this as the trick that got them started in magic. The Ball and Vase is easy-to-learn and requires absolutely no skill to perform the effect described above.
