A classic magic effect perfect for patriotic shows!
You show three silk hankies - one red, one white, and one blue. Placing them in an empty bag, you explain that you will transform them into a United States Flag.
But you accidentally drop the blue hanky, and when you check the other hankies, they have transformed into a flag, minus the blue! You put the mismade flag back into the bag, along with the blue scarf, but the magic again misfires and the flag comes out with all the colors, but in the wrong places!
Finally, you put the flag back in the bag and ask the audience to help. When they shout "Fourth of July!" the flag is now a true US Flag and the audience bursts into spontaneous applause!
You again show the bag empty. It's a great routine and a wonderful family effect that always gets amazing reactions.
