PIRATE FUN DAY on SATURDAY 1/26/13

'Savvy! Look over there for another treasure,' says Captain Johnny O' to a young pirate at Freedom Park. Photo by Laura Pacter

Avast, me hardies, it's time for adventure! There be not one but two locations for treasure hunting and other pirate fun on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Naples and Marco Island.
If members of your crew are 3 to 10 years old, don your best buccaneer gear and head to Freedom Park in Naples to join Captain Johnny O' and the Commodore for Pirate Fun Day.
Young lads and lassies were thrilled to discover hidden treasure at Freedom Park. Park Ranger Cynthia Piper, along with Captain Johnny O' provided a pirate's life for a day, with plenty of coins in a treasure chest below deck at Freedom Park. Photo by Laura Pacter

Or, on Marco Island, crew members of all ages can learn about the marauding pirates of Southwest Florida, sing some pirate songs, compete in a costume contest or listen to tales from local authors Jim and Sarah Kaserman.
