Show two printed ribbon spreads, a long one and a short one, each printed ribbon spread showing different cards from a deck. The audience can examine them to verify the cards are printed and fixed in position on each of the ribbon spreads.
A spectator selects either spread. One or more people mentally choose cards from that spread. Free choice. Without asking a single question, the performer makes the selections travel to the other spread!
