Many magicians' first trick was from the SS ADAMS line of magic tricks. The SS ADAMS MAGIC COIN BOX is a great trick that anyone can do, but is very baffling.
A borrowed and marked coin is placed in your pocket. Instantly you bring out a small box held closed by rubber bands.
A spectator removes the bands and opens the box, to find another box, also closed by rubber bands.
Opening that box, the spectator finds a small bag, again closed with a rubber band.
Inside of that bag is the marked coin!
